Mooncake-Inspired Pumpkin Spice Dumplings

– 1 cup pumpkin puree – 1 tsp pumpkin spice – 2 tbsp brown sugar – 1/4 tsp salt – 1/2 tsp vanilla extract – 1 pack round dumpling wrappers – 1 egg (for egg wash) – 2 tbsp melted butter – Honey or maple syrup (optional, for drizzling)

Ingredients:

In a bowl, mix pumpkin puree, pumpkin spice, brown sugar, salt, and vanilla extract until smooth and well combined.

Place 1 teaspoon of filling in the center of each dumpling wrapper and gently fold the edges, sealing with a bit of water.

Press the dumpling edges tightly to ensure the filling stays inside, then gently shape into round mooncake-like forms.

Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper to avoid sticking.

Brush each dumpling lightly with egg wash for a golden finish, then bake for 15–18 minutes or until golden brown.

Once baked, brush with melted butter and drizzle with honey or maple syrup for extra sweetness and shine.

Serve warm or at room temperature as a festive fall treat, inspired by mooncakes and cozy pumpkin spice flavors.
