– 1/2 cup (1 stick) unsalted butter – 1 cup water – 1/4 tsp salt – 1 cup all-purpose flour – 4 large eggs – 2 cups heavy cream – 1/4 cup powdered sugar – 1 tsp vanilla extract

Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper to prevent sticking and ensure even baking.

In a saucepan, combine butter, water, and salt. Bring to a boil, then add flour. Stir vigorously until the dough forms a ball.

Let dough cool slightly. Beat in eggs, one at a time, until the mixture is smooth and glossy. This forms the signature cream puff texture.

Spoon or pipe dough onto the baking sheet in small mounds. Bake for 25–30 minutes until golden and puffed. Cool completely.

Whip heavy cream, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract until stiff peaks form. Chill in the fridge until ready to use.

Slice each puff in half or make a small hole. Pipe or spoon whipped cream inside. Dust with powdered sugar if desired.
