1 cup unsalted butter, softened 1/2 cup powdered sugar 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour 1/4 cup cornstarch 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract Pinch of salt

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper. In a large bowl, beat the softened butter and powdered sugar together until light and fluffy.

Add in the vanilla extract and mix until combined. In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, cornstarch, and salt, then gradually add the dry ingredients to the butter mixture,

mixing just until a soft dough forms. Scoop out small portions and roll them into 1-inch balls, placing them on the prepared baking sheet about 2 inches apart.

Flatten each cookie gently with a fork or the bottom of a glass. Bake for 10–12 minutes, or until the edges are just barely golden. Let the cookies cool on the baking sheet,

for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack. They’ll be delicate, buttery, and absolutely melt in your mouth. Try not to eat the entire batch before they cool.
